As the Senior Manager of International Distribution, you will oversee and execute end-to-end logistics operations, ensuring smooth product movement from distribution centers to final delivery points. In this key leadership role, you will drive the efficient and compliant distribution of products across the EU, International, and Shared Markets. Leading a skilled team, you will ensure operations align with GDP standards and that the supply chain remains uninterrupted to meet customer and patient needs. The ideal candidate will bring strategic insight, strong logistics expertise, and the capability to manage distribution centers across diverse regions while maintaining transparency and alignment with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and managing the distribution team and activitiesacross EU, International, and Shared Markets against GDP guidelines while ensuring uninterrupted product supply to customers.
- Developing and strengthening relationships with global logistics partners, while managing key performance indicators through our Strategic Logistics Partner framework.
- Steering the strategic roadmap for Global Logistics, collaborating closely with Global Supply Chain & Strategy (GSC&S) to deliver innovative and compliant distribution solutions for patients.
- Optimizing the structure and operations of the Distribution network to improve efficiency, agility, resilience, and sustainability.
- Being accountable for launch readiness with Global Logistics Providers
- Continuously improving and standardizing Global Logistics processes, leveraging digital tools to drive efficiency and compliance with regulations.
- Supporting RFQs, reviewing and selecting processes for Logistics partners, setting appropriate operating procedures and key performance targets in partnership with Network Strategy.
- Proactively adapting to changes in business conditions to ensure the external supplier model remains effective and efficient.
- Leading budget preparation for International Distribution and ensuring adherence to short- and long-term financial plans.
- Providing subject matter expertise for any Distribution-related inspections/audits.
- Participating in implementing risk management strategies and identifying opportunities to eliminate inefficiencies and reduce operational costs.
Essential Skills/Experience
- Demonstrated people management experience and proven knowledge of Logistics & Distribution.
- Excellent knowledge of GxP & regulatory issues as they relate to pharmaceutical supply chain.
- Past experience in leading third-party performance including the effective leadership of expectations and communications across a broad stakeholder base.
- Strong leadership, presentation, and communication skills with proven ability to influence at executive level.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to effectively lead and manage multiple competing priorities.
- Experience working with multiple teams to support business needs.
- Ability to assist with projects involving multiple teams and across different regions.
- Computer literate, with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Fluency in English both written and oral is essential; fluency in other languages is desirable.
