An innovative Not-for-Profit organisation is hiring for a Senior Accountant.
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the delivery of accurate financial reporting and ownership of core finance processes across the organisation and an involvement with Transformation projects.
This role operates at a mid-senior level within the finance function, taking responsibility for the end-to-end execution of month-end close, balance sheet integrity, and audit readiness, while working closely with the Financial Controller / Head of Finance.
Hybrid Working: 3 days in the office based in Dublin West

Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Accounting
- Own and deliver monthly management accounts to agreed deadlines
- Perform detailed variance analysis v prior periods & assist FP&A with variances to budget
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial data
- Own delivery of the month-end close process
- Prepare and review all key journals, including accruals and prepayments
- Own balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all items are complete and supported
Statutory Compliance & Audit
- Support preparation of statutory accounts (IFRS / local GAAP)
- Act as primary contact for auditors for assigned areas
- Lead preparation of audit files, schedules, and supporting documentation
- Respond to audit queries and drive resolution of issues
Systems & Process Improvement
- Assist with maintaining financial systems
- Identify & Implement changes required to process workflows & control effectiveness
- Have a continuous improvement mindset for workflows within their scope
Transformation Projects
- Be a strong advocate for Finance Transformation
- Support implementation or upgrades of finance systems
- Assist with Cross departmental projects when required
Requirements:
- ACA / ACCA/CIMA qualified
- Post Qualified Experience - Two years minimum
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and standards, advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas)
- Understanding of tax compliance and statutory reporting requirements
