My client based in Dublin 1 is looking to add a senior security officer to their team. This position combines front-line security leadership with a strong administrative focus, making it ideal for a detail-oriented professional who excels in both operational oversight and office-based coordination.
You'll lead a team of 4-5 in-house security staff and oversee external contractors, ensuring consistent service, compliance, and safety across all aspects of site operations.
Maintain a secure environment through proactive patrols, monitoring, and access control.
Respond swiftly to emergencies, alarms, and disturbances in a calm and professional manner.
Oversee daily operations including building openings/closures, alarm setting, key control, and building safety checks.
Monitor and manage building systems such as lighting, heating, and ventilation.
Lead and support a team of in-house Security Officers.
Coordinate and manage relationships with outsourced security partners, including scheduling, shift cover, and day-to-day oversight.
Act as a point of contact for any escalated security or facilities issues.
Maintain accurate weekly, monthly, and annual reports using a risk-based approach.
Administer and manage access control systems, including issuing and revoking access cards in coordination with HR.
Maintain and update internal documentation including security procedures and facilities service tickets.
Support logistical tasks such as equipment and furniture movement, stationery management, and vehicle/fleet booking coordination.
2-4 years of experience in a senior or supervisory security role, including team leadership.
Solid understanding of Health & Safety legislation and procedures.
Comfortable working with MS Word, Excel, and access control systems.
Proven experience balancing both administrative and operational responsibilities.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Strong decision-making and conflict resolution abilities.
