Role Overview
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will manage the commercial and contractual aspects of major construction projects across Dublin. You will ensure effective cost control, risk management, and financial reporting while supporting the project team in delivering projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts
- Oversee procurement processes including subcontractor tendering, negotiation, and appointment
- Prepare and assess interim valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Monitor project costs and provide detailed financial reporting to senior management
- Manage subcontractor accounts and ensure accurate and timely payments
- Conduct cost analysis and implement value engineering initiatives
- Identify, manage, and mitigate commercial risks
- Administer contracts in line with RIAI and Public Works Contracts
- Liaise with project managers, site teams, engineers, and clients to ensure commercial alignment
Candidate Requirements
- Third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related discipline
- Minimum 3+ years' experience in a Quantity Surveyor role within the Irish construction industry
- Strong working knowledge of Irish construction contracts (RIAI and Public Works Contracts)
- Experience on residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments preferred
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and financial reporting skills
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a project team
- Membership of or working towards SCSI/RICS accreditation is advantageous
