A global engineering and manufacturing organisation is seeking a hands-on Production Support Engineer to join its team in Swords, Co. Dublin. About the Role
The Production Support Engineer will play a key role in maintaining and improving manufacturing processes. You will collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to ensure efficiency, reliability, and high-quality output across production lines.
Key Responsibilities

Support and optimise existing manufacturing processes and product quality.

Define and validate processes for new or upgraded products.

Provide technical support for assembly jigs, fixtures, and test equipment.

Conduct process analysis and prepare quality reports.

Work closely with Engineers and Production staff to implement improvements.

Collaborate with Product Designers to ensure design-for-assembly principles are achieved.
Requirements
-
Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent).

Minimum 2 years' experience in a medium or high-volume manufacturing environment.

Strong technical background with practical, hands-on ability.

Experience using structured problem-solving techniques.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a proactive approach.
Desirable Skills

Knowledge of Six Sigma tools such as SPC, Gauge R&R, and Process Capability.

Data analysis experience using Excel, Power BI, SQL, or VBA.

Exposure to Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement projects.

Experience designing and validating fixtures.
-
Ability to interpret technical drawings, including GD&T.
