    Production Support Engineer | Swords, Co. Dublin

    A global engineering and manufacturing organisation is seeking a hands-on Production Support Engineer to join its team in Swords, Co. Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a high-performing manufacturing environment, supporting multiple production cells and driving continuous improvement.

    About the Role

    The Production Support Engineer will play a key role in maintaining and improving manufacturing processes. You will collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to ensure efficiency, reliability, and high-quality output across production lines.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support and optimise existing manufacturing processes and product quality.

    • Define and validate processes for new or upgraded products.

    • Provide technical support for assembly jigs, fixtures, and test equipment.

    • Conduct process analysis and prepare quality reports.

    • Work closely with Engineers and Production staff to implement improvements.

    • Collaborate with Product Designers to ensure design-for-assembly principles are achieved.

    Requirements

    • Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent).

    • Minimum 2 years' experience in a medium or high-volume manufacturing environment.

    • Strong technical background with practical, hands-on ability.

    • Experience using structured problem-solving techniques.

    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a proactive approach.

    Desirable Skills

    • Knowledge of Six Sigma tools such as SPC, Gauge R&R, and Process Capability.

    • Data analysis experience using Excel, Power BI, SQL, or VBA.

    • Exposure to Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement projects.

    • Experience designing and validating fixtures.

    • Ability to interpret technical drawings, including GD&T.
