Morgan McKinley are delighted to be working with a well know institution to recruit a Procurement Specialist in Dublin.
Joining a well-established team in the public sector, this Procurement Specialist will assist with procurement planning, improving supplier performance while ensuring compliance with procurement policy and aiding delivery of a value for money supply base for the organisation.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Developing procurement plan and improve procurement process for each procurement spend in the business unit.
- Manage all phases of strategic sourcing as required including internal and external stakeholder engagement, RFP process, benchmarking, negotiations, contract / pricing review and implementation
- Manage the procurement of all goods and services in line with company policy
- Engage with key suppliers to negotiate main project contracts on favourable commercial terms.
- Ensure the successful delivery of contracted activities, identifying continuous improvement opportunities through engagement with suppliers and internal stakeholders and maximising value for money from engagements
- Develop and deliver key reporting metrics for the business
- Manage and complete all work-related administration, including but not limited to template completion, contract database updates, work in progress updates and independent contract drafting without the need for legal support.
Key requirements:
- 3 years+ Procurement / Category Management experience in the public sector is required
- Degree in business/supply chain/procurement or a relevant discipline
- Qualification in Public Procurement beneficial
- Experience using SAP and E-tenders required
