Company Overview:
Excellent opportunity with an exciting medical device company based in Dublin 1, offering a friendly and collaborative work environment. We are looking for a part-time Accounts Assistant/ bookkeeper who is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking full responsibility for the day-to-day bookkeeping operations.
As part of a small team of 3 in finance you will work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure that all financial records are accurately maintained, including processing invoices, managing accounts payable for both our Irish and US legal entity, bank reconciliations, accruals and prepayments.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Administration and monitoring of Accounts mailbox.
- Review and verification of invoices prior to posting them on our accounting system, Quick Books, ensuring all invoices are coded correctly.
- Communicate with vendors and management on any issues or queries with invoices.
- Manage Accounts payable for both Irish and US legal entities.
- Preparation of supplier payment runs (two per month - mid month and end of month).
- Bank reconciliations.
- Accounting for month end accruals and prepayments.
- Recording Capital Expenditure and maintaining fixed asset register.
- Other ad hoc duties.
About the Person:
- Minimum of 2-6 years' experience in a similar role accounting role
- Knowledge of payables, month end close, journals, bank reconciliations etc
- Excellent Excel skills.
- Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills.
- Experience using Quick Books is desirable.
- At ease in a start-up environment with a hands-on, problem-solving mentality.
