A leading national retail organisation is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to cover a 9-month maternity leave. This is a high-impact role working closely with senior leadership and guiding a small marketing team to deliver strategic, insight-led campaigns that drive commercial performance.
Develop and execute marketing strategies aligned to overall business goals.
Manage key stakeholder relationships, including regular updates to senior leadership.
Deliver an annual calendar of marketing campaigns with consistent, accurate messaging.
Oversee campaign budgets and ensure activity is delivered within financial targets.
Lead research and insight projects, including brand tracking and customer segmentation.
Support wider budget planning and provide leadership within the marketing team.
Mentor and support team members, including recruitment and performance development.
Manage relationships with external brand partners and internal cross-functional teams.
Represent marketing across departments such as Operations, HR, Trading and Foodservice.
Lead planning of company-wide events, including conferences and internal celebrations.
Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline.
2+ years' experience in marketing management, ideally within retail, FMCG or a fast-paced consumer environment.
Strong understanding of marketing strategy, campaign delivery and budget management.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
Highly organised, detail-focused and adaptable to changing priorities.
Creative thinker with strong problem-solving ability.
Experience managing or mentoring a team.
Full driving licence and ability to travel occasionally.
Clear and confident communicator with excellent presentation skills.
Strong project management and organisational ability.
