Morgan McKinley is delighted to be partnering with a leading law firm to recruit a Licensing Solicitor for their Litigation and Investigations team. Reporting to the Head of Department, you will work alongside partners and senior team members to provide commercial, client-focused licensing and regulatory support to a broad client base, with a focus on the retail and hospitality sectors.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Advisory & Compliance: Advise clients on licensing requirements, processes, and compliance obligations.
- Applications & Court Work: Prepare and present Court applications; manage licence renewals, variations, and transfers.
- Regulatory Engagement: Draft correspondences, submissions, and supporting documents for regulatory bodies.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with regulators, third parties, and advisers to advance applications and resolve issues.
- Tracking & Research: Track licence renewal dates and conditions; conduct regulatory research to support advisory work.
- Business Development: Support client relationship management and practice growth initiatives.
Job Requirements
- Education & Qualification: Qualified Solicitor in Ireland (or eligible for registration) with a strong academic background.
- Experience: Proven experience within commercial litigation, property, regulatory, or general practice, ideally with experience gained at a mid- to top-tier law firm.
- Sector Knowledge: Exposure to transactional or advisory work in the retail and hospitality sectors is advantageous.
- Regulatory Expertise: Familiarity with Irish and/or EU regulatory frameworks, with experience dealing with regulatory authorities.
