Morgan McKinley has partnered with a hotel & gastrobar located in Dublin 4 who are seeking an experienced Events Executive to manage private/group event enquiries, maximise venue revenue, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. The role combines sales, event coordination, and strategic business development.
Key Responsibilities
Event Sales & Coordination
Handle all internal and external enquiries for private and group events with professional communication.
Conduct site visits and host prospective clients to secure bookings.
Coordinate events across multiple venues and dining spaces.
Support smooth event delivery in collaboration with operations teams.
Administration & Systems
Manage deposits, purchase orders, and invoices using PMS software.
Maintain accuracy in booking platforms (e.g., OpenTable) and ensure all client requirements are clearly documented.
Keep detailed event records and client data compliant with GDPR.
Revenue & Business Development
Maximise venue capacity in line with the events calendar and marketing activity.
Analyse customer segments to grow leisure and corporate business.
Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
Contribute to revenue targets through proactive sales efforts.
Marketing & Communications
Assist in updating menus, pricing, and promotional materials across digital channels.
Support creation of event marketing content and campaigns.
Respond to online reviews professionally.
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and partners.
Operational Planning
Provide weekly event updates to management for staffing and planning.
Coordinate with kitchen, service, and operations teams for seamless execution.
Manage timelines to ensure all event requirements are delivered on schedule.
Experience & Qualifications
Minimum 2 years in event management, hospitality sales, or tourism.
Qualification in Business, Hospitality, Tourism, or related field preferred.
Experience with PMS and booking systems (e.g., OpenTable, Hotsoft, MEWS).
Background in hotel reception, revenue management, or similar roles is an advantage.
Technical Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of OpenTable or similar booking engines.
Basic digital marketing skills (social media, Canva, Adobe Suite).
Familiarity with CRM and email marketing tools.

Additional European languages (e.g., German, French) are an advantage.
