Our client, a leading Irish transport and logistics group with significant operations across Ireland and the UK is seeking a qualified Accountant to join its finance team.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a varied and commercially focused role offering strong exposure to senior management and opportunities to develop accounting, leadership and management skills within a large group environment.
With offices in Dublin 1, they are operating with a hybrid working model and offering a competitive salary.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the accounting function, including Accounts Payable and General Ledger
- Lead, support and train members of the Finance team
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts
- Review bank reconciliations and manage sales-to-cash reconciliations
- Oversee reporting and reconciliation of fuel consumption and third-party operational costs
- Work closely with Treasury on cash handling and payment processes
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and audit processes
- Participate in company-wide and group-wide projects as required
Minimum Requirements:
- Fully qualified Accountant with 2-3 years' post-qualification experience
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- Experience leading or mentoring high-performing teams
- Self-motivated, flexible and able to work both independently and collaboratively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Power BI
- Excellent communication skills
