Our client is looking for a highly capable Executive Assistant to provide high-level, confidential strategic support to their Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Operating within a complex, highly regulated financial services environment, the successful candidate will act as a trusted partner to ensure the efficient execution of strategic technology priorities and a smooth operational rhythm across senior leadership. This role demands an organised, solutions-focused professional with excellent stakeholder management skills and a solid understanding of enterprise technology within a financial services framework.
Responsibilities
- Manage a complex, dynamic executive calendar and act as a strategic gatekeeper to optimise the CTO's time.
- Prepare high-quality briefing materials, presentations, and reports for the Executive Committee and Board meetings.
- Track and drive the delivery of key CTO initiatives, digital transformation, and core banking modernisation programmes.
- Serve as the primary point of contact and build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, regulators, and leadership teams.
- Manage technology risk updates, audit actions, and regulatory deliverables, ensuring adherence to governance frameworks.
- Organise internal leadership meetings, town halls, and offsites, whilst handling complex travel arrangements and expenses.
- Draft and manage internal and external communications on behalf of the CTO to support the bank's technology strategy.
Requirements
- Proven experience supporting C-suite or senior executives within a regulated financial services organisation.
- Demonstrated background working directly within or alongside technology teams such as IT, digital, or cybersecurity.
- Strong understanding of governance, risk, compliance, and regulatory expectations within a banking environment.
- Exceptional organisational, prioritisation, and time management skills to handle competing demands.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information with complete discretion.
- Familiarity with modern infrastructure and systems, including cloud transformation and digital banking platforms.
