We are seeking a qualified and motivated Electrician / Electro-Mechanical Technician to join a manufacturing maintenance team. The role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving the performance of electrically and mechanically driven production equipment, including PLC-controlled and automated machinery, in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Ensure all electrical installations, wiring, and schematics are maintained and compliant with relevant standards and regulations
Implement and support preventative maintenance programs for production, milling, and packaging equipment, including pneumatic systems
Carry out electrical and mechanical fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs to minimise downtime
Provide hands-on electro-mechanical support across site operations
Monitor equipment and line performance, responding promptly to performance or KPI deviations
Support the installation, modification, and commissioning of new or upgraded machinery
Proactively identify equipment faults, assess urgency, and carry out corrective actions
Mentor and support colleagues, sharing knowledge and best practices in troubleshooting and maintenance
Troubleshoot PLC systems and support basic industrial networks in coordination with IT where required
Manage spare parts requirements, ensuring timely ordering and clear communication with management
Support engineering projects and continuous improvement initiatives
Contribute ideas to improve equipment reliability, maintenance practices, and operational efficiency
Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organised workshop environment
Promote environmental awareness, sustainability, and efficient use of resources
Recognised electrical trade qualification
Proven experience in electro-mechanical maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing environment
Strong experience with PLC fault finding and basic programming
Knowledge of 3-phase motors, control systems, pneumatic systems, and industrial automation
Experience working with 24V, 110V, and 220V electrical systems
Strong diagnostic, fault-finding, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Demonstrated initiative and ability to take ownership of issues
Experience in food, FMCG, or regulated manufacturing environments is advantageous
Good computer literacy and ability to work with technical documentation
Flexibility to work evenings or weekends for breakdowns or call-outs when required
Strong commitment to health, safety, and regulatory compliance
