We are partnering with a leading brand development organisation that works with a portfolio of internationally recognised brands across the FMCG sector. Operating within a fast paced, innovative environment, the business is known for its collaborative culture.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded accounting professional to join a high performing finance team and gain valuable exposure to financial analysis, pricing strategy and business partnering.
The Role
You'll play an important role in supporting financial reports with well know companies. You'll help ensure the accuracy of financial information, provide meaningful commercial insights and support key stakeholders across finance and sales.
This position would suit someone who enjoys taking ownership, is naturally curious, and is comfortable challenging information, investigating variances and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of regular commercial and financial reporting packs
- Analyse sales performance, profitability and commercial investment activity
- Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process across multiple brand portfolios
- Work closely with marketing and commercial teams to track spend and evaluate performance
- Review pricing information and promotional activity to ensure data accuracy and margin integrity
- Contribute to month-end reporting and management accounting activities
- Provide insight and analysis to support business decision-making
- Assist with financial administration relating to brand expenditure and cost allocations
- Support new product initiatives from a commercial finance perspective
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve reporting efficiency
- Participate in ongoing finance projects and business improvement initiatives
About You
You'll be early in your finance career but confident enough to work independently, manage competing priorities and build relationships across the wider business.
We're looking for someone who brings:
- 2-3 years' experience within finance, accounting or commercial finance
- A relevant degree or progression towards a professional accounting qualification
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Advanced Excel capabilities and confidence working with large datasets
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with non-finance stakeholders
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn and desire to develop professionally
Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI would be beneficial but is not essential.
