As a key member of the Executive Management Team, the Chief People Officer will lead the strategic direction of Human Resources and Organisational Development at Tuath Housing. They will champion an employee-first culture, drive productivity, and support the development of a skilled and engaged workforce. This role is responsible for embedding people strategies, processes, and metrics that align with Tuath's strategic goals. A strong focus will be placed on staff wellbeing, safety, and engagement-ensuring tenants remain central to all activities.
Strategic HR Leadership:
- Drive HR strategy aligned with Tuath Housing's overall goals
- Lead org design, workforce & succession planning
- Implement strong HR governance for consistency and compliance
- Establish KPIs and reporting to track workforce effectiveness
- Champion people-focused change and cultural initiatives
Leadership:
- Lead and develop the HR team for high performance
- Drive HRIS adoption for data-driven decision-making
- Advise CEO and Board on people strategy and risks
Workforce Planning & Talent Acquisition:
- Lead strategic, inclusive recruitment aligned with future needs
- Drive employer branding and talent pipeline development
- Oversee succession planning for key roles
Culture, Engagement & Employee Relations:
- Champion a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and continuous improvement at Tuath
- Lead strategies to boost engagement, embed values, and support employee wellbeing
- Oversee fair and compliant employee relations, policy development, and gender pay initiatives
Learning & Development:
- Lead a strategic L&D framework aligned with Tuath's goals
- Drive leadership and management development to build internal capability
Compensation & Benefits:
- Develop fair, competitive reward frameworks aligned with Tuath's goals
- Enhance pay and benefits to support retention and satisfaction
- Advise on benchmarking, performance-related pay, and benefits trends
Governance, Compliance & Risk:
- Ensure compliance with employment law, H&S, and GDPR
- Identify and manage people-related risks and workforce continuity
- Represent Tuath at external forums such as WRC hearings
Skills & Experience Required:
- Extensive senior leadership experience in HR, ideally within a mission-driven, scaling, or regulated organisation
- Proven track record of leading HR strategy, organisational development, and transformational change
- In-depth knowledge of Irish employment law, employee relations, and HR best practices
- Demonstrated ability to influence executive teams and align people strategies with business goals
- Experienced in building, leading, and developing high-performing, multidisciplinary HR teams
- Strong background in driving culture change and enhancing employee engagement
- Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills, underpinned by high emotional intelligence
- Analytical thinker with a data-informed approach to problem-solving and decision-making
- Passionate advocate for equality, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace
