Artifical Intelligence Engineer
12-Month Daily Rate Contract

We're looking for a Artifical Intelligence Engineer to join a newly established AI engineering team to design, build and productionise new organisational wide AI products and initives. This is an opportunity to work on complex technical challenges, innovative technology, provide mentorship for engineers and scientists while collaborate with experienced engineers in a fast-paced, product-led environment.
You'll play a key role in designing, building and productionising innovative products while mentoring teammates, while driving engineering best practices and technical strategic direction across the team.
What you'll be doing
- Lead hands on development of AI and agentic systems from design through production deployment Build and operate ML/AI services, pipelines, and APIs using strong software engineering practices
- Design and implement ML engineering capabilities such as model serving, monitoring, evaluation, and retraining
- Partner with data scientists to productionise models and experiments efficiently
What we're looking for
- 5+ years' experience in AI, ML, or Software Engineering.
- Built & deployed production AI, LLM, or agentic applications.
- Experience with ML pipelines, APIs, model serving, monitoring, and MLOps.
- Strong software engineering, system design, & cloud experience.
- Worked with Data Scientists to productionise ML models.
- Experience with large-scale data platforms and modern AI/ML tools.
- Strong problem-solving and technical leadership skills.
- Experience mentoring engineers and driving technical best practices.
