Senior Accounts Payable - Tech Industry

Contract: 3 months (Full-time)
A fast‑growing Irish technology company is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable professional to support their multi‑entity and multi‑currency operations and work closely with their finance team, this is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team during a period of continued expansion.
The Senior Accounts Payable professional will take ownership of key AP processes, support month‑end activities, and play a central role in strengthening controls, improving workflows, and supporting junior team members. This position suits someone who enjoys working in a fast‑paced SME environment and has a strong track record of enhancing AP efficiency and accuracy.
Manage the full AP cycle from invoice receipt to payment.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of high‑volume invoices.
Reconcile supplier statements regularly to maintain accurate balances.
Monitor outstanding payables and assist with cash‑flow planning.
Support month‑end close, including AP accruals and reconciliations.
Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, payment issues, and vendor queries.
Maintain strong internal controls to reduce risk and prevent errors.
Identify process gaps and recommend improvements.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Enhance AP processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and automation.
Utilise Business Central and other finance systems to streamline workflows.
Maintain clear documentation of procedures and controls.
Provide guidance and support to AP colleagues.
Assist with onboarding and training of new team members.
Help set and monitor performance standards and KPIs within the AP function.
4 (minimum) years' experience in Accounts Payable previously with multi-entity experience (required).
Experience improving or transforming AP processes.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
Advanced Excel skills.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is an advantage.
Comfortable working in a multi‑entity, multi‑currency environment.
