We are partnering with a leading professional services firm supporting a broad portfolio of SME and owner-managed businesses across the UK and Ireland. The firm delivers a full suite of accounting, tax, and advisory services and is known for its strong technical expertise, collaborative culture, and focus on professional development.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified or early-manager level accountant to step up in responsibility, manage client work end-to-end, and support junior team members within a high-performing team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare year-end financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies under relevant local GAAP (FRS 102 / FRS 105)
- Prepare and submit key tax filings including Corporation Tax, Income Tax, VAT, PAYE, and other statutory returns
- Prepare management accounts and VAT returns for a varied client portfolio
- Act as a point of contact with tax authorities and regulatory bodies on behalf of clients
- Support company secretarial compliance including CRO filings and annual returns
- Ensure full compliance with relevant accounting, tax, and regulatory standards
- Work closely with clients to support day-to-day accounting and compliance needs
- Contribute to the supervision and support of junior team members where required
Candidate Profile
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent)
- 2-3 years' experience within an Irish or UK accountancy practice
- Strong knowledge of Irish tax compliance and accounting standards (FRS 102 / FRS 105)
- Experience working with SME and owner-managed business clients
- Confident using accounting and tax software systems
- Strong communication and client relationship skills
- Able to manage a varied workload with growing autonomy
