Morgan McKinley is partnering with a highly successful multinational organisation to recruit a Financial Accountant for their Donegal site. Roles and Responsibilities
- Preparing and coordinating budgeting and forecasting activities, aligning financial targets with strategic goals.
- Maintain and improve internal controls, processes, and procedures.
- Prepare and review key financial reports, including monthly performance summaries, variance analysis, and cost tracking for both local and divisional stakeholders.
- Analyse key manufacturing metrics, contributing insight into cost drivers such as purchase price variance, inventory movements, and operational efficiencies.
- Contribute to the management of the Gross Margin Improvement Programme, supporting initiatives that enhance financial performance and cost optimisation.
- Provide guidance on capital planning and expenditure tracking, including the accurate maintenance of fixed assets and alignment of project spend with budget.
- Assist with ongoing projects, including system improvements and process optimisation.
Job Requirements
- Fully qualified accountant experience in a fast-paced finance environment.
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and clearly communicate implications to the business.
- Solid knowledge of financial reporting standards and accounting principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
