Title: Visual Content Designer
Contract Length: 12 months
Role: Morgan McKinley has partnered with a pharmaceuticals company in Cork looking to hire a Visual Content Designer. The purpose of the role is to create visually compelling, brand-compliant, and user-friendly designs that enhance digital engagement and support the overall content strategy.
Responsibilities:
Creative Design & Asset Development
- Design graphics, infographics, illustrations, and other visual elements for web, social media, and digital campaigns.
- Create visual storytelling elements that complement written content and improve user experience.
Brand & Accessibility Compliance
- Ensure all designs adhere to corporate brand guidelines, color palettes, typography standards, and tone.
- Apply accessibility best practices (e.g., contrast ratios, alt text) to meet WCAG standards.
Collaboration & Integration
- Participate in content meetings to align visual deliverables with strategic priorities.
- Provide creative input during brainstorming sessions for new content formats.
Performance Optimization
- Optimize visual assets for fast loading and responsiveness across devices.
- Prepare assets in multiple formats and resolutions for web, mobile, and social platforms.
- Use analytics to assess visual content performance and iterate designs based on engagement data.
Innovation & Trend Adoption
- Stay current with design trends, emerging tools, and technologies (e.g., motion graphics, interactive visuals).
- Recommend new visual formats to enhance engagement and storytelling.
Content Management
- Organize and maintain a visual asset library for easy retrieval and reuse.
- Ensure proper version control and documentation for all design files.
KPIs & Success Metrics:
- Design Output: Number of visual assets delivered per month or campaign.
- Brand Compliance: 100% adherence to brand and accessibility standards.
- Engagement Metrics: Increase in interaction rates (clicks, shares, time-on-page) for visual content.
- Load Performance: Visuals optimized for fast loading and responsiveness across devices.
