We have a fantastic temporary opportunity for you to join a leading organisation as their EMEA Payments Specialist. This is a 12-month contract offering a chance to utilise your expertise and make a real impact.
In this pivotal role, you will be the main point of contact for all EMEA payments, ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of transactions across the region. You will be responsible for managing payments to suppliers, processing employee expenses, VAT, Tax, and product-related payments, as well as handling both manual and batch payments. You will utilise Bank of America, HSBC, and Citibank banking platforms, and work extensively with both SAP and Oracle.
Furthermore, you will collaborate closely with the Cash Management and STS Accounting teams to reconcile bank accounts and resolve any outstanding items promptly.
Key Responsibilities
- Running weekly multi-currency SAP batch payments.
- Processing manual payment requests, including Tax, VAT, Product payments, Travel Advances, and Interview expenses.
- Processing supplier and employee expense payments for Emerging Markets (non-ERP markets).
- Handling intercompany payments.
- Collaborating with Cash Management and STS Accounting teams on bank reconciliation items and following up on aged items.
- Managing queries through the internal ticketing system (SPARC) and shared mailbox.
- Contributing to the completion of month-end tasks in conjunction with the wider STS team.
- Maintaining the payment approval schedule and bank matrix.
- Preparing and maintaining payment templates in BOA, HSBC, and Citi systems.
- Maintaining desk-top procedures for all responsibilities.
- Following up on internal and external audit requests as required.
- Participating in STS Continuous Improvement projects.
- Undertaking testing for payments in any ERP upgrades or changes.
- Performing other duties and projects as assigned.
Competencies & Skills:
- An effective team player with energy and enthusiasm.
- Business Degree desirable.
- 3-5 years' STS experience within a fast-paced, multi-national environment; experience in payments is advantageous.
- High level of proficiency in Excel is essential.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation.
