About the job
My client is looking for a Tech Support Specialist with 3+ years of experience. This is a permanent position based in Cork.
Responsibilities:
- Delivering hands-on technical support via helpdesk, phone, and email for internal and external users.
- Troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues across Windows-based systems.
- Maintaining accurate records of support requests and resolutions using ticketing systems.
- Creating and updating support documentation and user guides.
- Assisting with system rollouts, updates, and IT projects as needed.
- Using Excel to analyze support trends, generate reports, and manage technical data.
Skills and experience
- Minimum 3 years' experience in an IT support / helpdesk / tech support role.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across a range of technical issues (hardware, software, network).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Familiarity with common helpdesk/ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, Jira, ServiceNow).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
