    About the job

    My client is looking for a Tech Support Specialist with 3+ years of experience. This is a permanent position based in Cork.

    Responsibilities:

    • Delivering hands-on technical support via helpdesk, phone, and email for internal and external users.

    • Troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues across Windows-based systems.

    • Maintaining accurate records of support requests and resolutions using ticketing systems.

    • Creating and updating support documentation and user guides.

    • Assisting with system rollouts, updates, and IT projects as needed.

    • Using Excel to analyze support trends, generate reports, and manage technical data.

    Skills and experience

    • Minimum 3 years' experience in an IT support / helpdesk / tech support role.

    • Strong troubleshooting skills across a range of technical issues (hardware, software, network).

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis).

    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

    • Familiarity with common helpdesk/ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, Jira, ServiceNow).

    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
