Job Description: Site Manager / Foreman (Retrofit)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager / Foreman to oversee residential and commercial retrofit projects across Cork City and the West Cork area. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Management: Oversee day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring a productive, safe, and organized working environment.
- Subcontractor Coordination: Coordinate and monitor site labour, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain project momentum.
- Project Delivery: Assist the project management team in tracking progress against agreed targets and scopes.
- Quality Control: Ensure all works are executed to the highest possible industry standards and specifications.
- Documentation & Safety: Maintain accurate on-site records, including full ownership and management of the Health & Safety (H&S) file.
- Site Culture: Work closely with suppliers and subcontractors to foster a collaborative, positive, and safe culture on the ground.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a Site Manager or Foreman role (experience in retrofit projects is highly advantageous).
- Certifications (Essential): Valid Safe Pass, First Aid, Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheels, and PSCS.
- Education: A degree in Construction Management is desirable but not essential.
- Skills:
- Excellent attention to detail with high accuracy and strong observation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks efficiently and meet tight deadlines.
- Exceptional time management and communication skills.
