Senior OT MES Automation Engineer | Cork
I'm currently recruiting for a Senior OT MES Solutions Engineer to join a major greenfield manufacturing project in Cork.
This is a standout opportunity to be involved from the ground up in the development of a next-generation liquid nutrition facility, working across MES/MOM, SCADA, PLCs and OT.
The role will have genuine ownership across design, integration, testing, FAT, SAT, commissioning and operational handover, while working closely with system integrators, OEMs and wider project teams.
The Opportunity
You'll be involved in:
* Leading MES/MOM, SCADA and PLC application design and implementation
* Applying ISA-95 and ISA-88 principles
* Leading functional and integration workshops
* Managing FAT, SAT, UAT and end-to-end testing
* Supporting OT infrastructure and cybersecurity
* Integrating MES/MOM with ERP, WMS, LIMS and other manufacturing systems
* Technically leading third-party suppliers, system integrators and OEMs
* Supporting cutover, start-up and ramp-up
* Driving the successful handover of systems into operations
What We're Looking For
* 10+ years' experience within food, beverage, specialised nutrition, pharmaceutical or similarly regulated manufacturing
* Strong MES/MOM experience
* Strong automation, SCADA and PLC integration experience
* Experience with ISA-95 based manufacturing operations modelling
* Greenfield implementation experience
* FAT, SAT, UAT and validation experience
* Experience leading system integrators, OEMs and third-party suppliers
* Good understanding of OT infrastructure and cybersecurity
* Strong stakeholder management and problem-solving skills
