Job Description: Senior Analytics Engineers (12-Month Contract)
Role Overview
On behalf of my client I'm seeking a motivated Senior Analytics Engineer for a 12-month contract position.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to work at the intersection of data analytics, data architecture, and full-life-cycle solution development. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical skills in modern data architecture and dashboard creation with exceptional stakeholder management and requirements-gathering capabilities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Analytics & Dashboarding: Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards that translate complex clinical and operational data into actionable insights.
- Data Architecture & Modeling: Design and optimize scalable data lakehouse environments; maintain medallion architecture layers (Bronze/Silver/Gold) to ensure high-quality, reusable data assets.
- Pipeline & Quality Optimization: Source, transform, and structure data while continuously improving data quality, system performance, and backend structures.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with business and technical teams to gather requirements, document data flows/decisions, and support post-release communications.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field, with proven expertise in data architecture and development.
- Architecture & Frameworks: Hands-on experience with modern data architectures (data lakes, lakehouses) and multi-layered medallion models.
- Technical Stack: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Power Automate.
- Soft Skills: Excellent verbal/written communication, problem-solving, self-management, and adaptability to shifting priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cloud & Domain: Exposure to AWS; experience in healthcare, or pharmaceutical data.
- Business Analysis: Skill in process mapping, workflow design, gathering system requirements, and creating user documentation.
