Role Title: Retail Branch Manager
Purpose of the Role
As a Retail Branch Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations and performance of your branch. You'll be responsible for sales growth, team leadership, customer experience, health and safety, stock control, and overall operational excellence. Your focus will be on delivering results, developing your team, and driving continuous improvement to achieve the store's objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Health & Safety
Lead by example in promoting a strong safety culture aligned with the company's "Zero Harm" programme.
Ensure all safety procedures are known, understood, and followed by all team members.
Identify and address potential hazards promptly and ensure safety governance standards are upheld.
Make sure all colleagues receive the necessary training to meet Health & Safety requirements.
People Management
Lead, motivate, and develop your team to deliver excellent customer service and achieve business goals.
Allocate daily tasks effectively to ensure coverage across all service areas.
Engage in ongoing coaching, performance management, and learning and development initiatives.
Promote positive employee relations and resolve workplace issues in line with company policies.
Lead by example through professionalism, commitment, and customer focus.
Sales & Performance
Achieve and exceed agreed sales targets and KPIs.
Monitor and analyse departmental sales performance versus budget and take proactive action to drive results.
Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and increase profitability.
Support the Agri Sales function and coordinate transport scheduling.
Stay informed about competitors and market trends to maintain a competitive edge.
Customer Experience
Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring every interaction exceeds expectations.
Resolve customer queries effectively and efficiently.
Review customer feedback regularly and implement improvements where needed.
Administration & Compliance
Manage cash handling, wage costs, budgets, and administrative systems effectively.
Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and legal obligations.
Maintain store standards to meet audit requirements and use audit feedback for continuous improvement.
Oversee stock management, purchase orders, returns, and refunds to ensure accuracy and integrity.
Note: In addition to the above, you may be required to carry out other reasonable duties as assigned. All employees are expected to uphold Environmental, Health & Safety, and Quality standards in their roles.

Qualifications & Experience
Retail Management or Business qualification (desirable, not essential).
Minimum of 5 years' retail experience, including team management.
Strong Agri or Hardware product knowledge preferred.
Proficient IT skills (Excel, POS, Email systems).
Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and achieve individual and team objectives.
