We are currently recruiting for a Part or Fully Qualified Accountant in Cork. This position is part time, 2-3 days per week.
Our client provides accounting and tax services to clients locally, nationally and internationally.
This is an exciting role where the candidate will work across all sections of the practice, with the opportunity to become involved in the growth and development of the business.
The Role
- Managing a portfolio of clients.
- Managing and planning assignments.
- Preparation and review of monthly/quarterly management accounts.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, cashflow projections and other ad hoc reports as required by clients.
- Completing statutory year-end audit exempt accounts to review standard.
- Completion and preparation of final statutory accounts packs for approval by clients.
- Assisting on audit assignments.
- Preparation and completion of corporate tax computations and CT1 declarations for filing with Revenue.
- Preparation of annual B1 returns for filing with the CRO.
- Preparation of directors' personal income tax returns for filing with Revenue.
- Assisting clients with general tax matters relating to VAT, CGT and CA, and other tax compliance matters as they arise.
- Assisting the Partner on non-routine tax assignments.
- Ability to work independently and complete files to review standard.
- Prepare and file income tax, corporate tax, VAT and other necessary returns.
- Company secretarial work.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a small or medium practice and be at least part-qualified.
- Experience in working in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven track record of ability to manage work schedules, prioritise tasks, and deliver objectives within required timelines to the highest standards.
- Ability to prepare files for Partner review stage and work on own initiative.
