We're looking for a highly motivated and skilled Process Engineer to join our Cork based client on a 12-month contract.
- Key Responsibilites:
- Lead and manage daily production cleaning operations: This involves leading morning and evening handover meetings to ensure a seamless transition between shifts, overseeing the execution of cleaning tasks, and making sure all work is completed according to the established schedule.
- Drive process efficiency and performance: You'll be responsible for meeting business plan targets for cleaning cycle times. This includes identifying bottlenecks in the process, owning their resolution, and using collected data to continuously improve future cleaning activities. You will also be expected to lead or participate in After Action Reviews to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure readiness and compliance: This role requires you to ensure all necessary equipment and consumables, such as swab kits and cleaning wipes, are readily available well in advance of clean-ups. You'll also be responsible for managing and completing all associated documentation, including tickets and visual tracking boards.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration: You will work closely with other teams, including the Operations Team Leader and Maintenance Planner, to schedule daily work and integrate preventative maintenance (PMs) and Work Orders into the cleaning schedule. You'll also serve as a member of the Small Molecule Cleaning Process Team, attending weekly meetings and supporting the development and execution of training programs.
- Develop and implement improvements: Based on external benchmarking and industry trends, you'll be responsible for driving medium to long-term improvements to the cleaning program. This includes creating non-routine work instructions and identifying and leading projects to improve cleaning processes and overall efficiency.
- Provide technical support: With your strong equipment and process knowledge, you will be a key resource for troubleshooting issues that arise during cleaning. You'll also be responsible for generating Cleaning Campaign Summaries and presenting them to the Flow team.
- Skills, Attributes & Experience:
- Degree in a relevant science / engineering discipline
- 3 years minimum experience working within a Process engineering team within a Pharmaceutical or BioPharmaceutical organisation
- Technical knowledge of processing equipment and cleaning regimes (chemical, re-circulated washing, etc.)
- Knowledge of Small Molecule manufacturing processes and understanding of production schedules will be an advantage
- Interested in standardisation of Cleaning business systems across Small Molecule and benchmarking with internal and external colleagues.
- Understanding of Environmental, Health and Safety requirements of the Pharmaceutical industry
- Strong understanding of the principles of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
- Continuous Improvement mindset
