PCB Production Operator
Company Overview
An established designer and manufacturer of high-reliability electronic motor control solutions, based in Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork, Ireland, is seeking applicants for the position of PCB Production Operator.
The company operates within a highly regulated manufacturing environment and is certified to AS/EN9100 Aerospace Quality Standards covering manufacturing, design, and aftermarket services.
Summary of Function
Reporting to the PCB Production Supervisor, the successful candidate will support daily production activities and ensure assembly operations are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate assembly equipment to complete assigned production tasks.
- Prepare electronic components for manual assembly operations.
- Operate PCB cleaning and baking equipment.
- Use torque tools for installation of specified fasteners.
- Perform manual assembly of printed circuit boards (PCBs) and mechanical hardware in accordance with assembly procedures, process instructions, drawings, and SOPs.
- Handle printed circuit cards and electronic components during assembly processes.
- Apply adhesives and conformal coatings as required.
- Perform prototype assembly work under engineering supervision.
- Set up equipment and complete process-related measurements when required.
- Carry out operator-level machine maintenance activities.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and rework PCBs and components to defined quality standards.
- Use required personal protective and safety equipment during production and maintenance activities.
- Complete all required production and quality documentation accurately.
- Use ERP systems to process and transact work orders.
- Maintain compliance with safety procedures, anti-static precautions, tool control requirements, and housekeeping standards.
Full equipment training will be provided.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- Knowledge of IPC-7711/IPC-7721 rework standards.
- Familiarity with IPC J-Standard requirements and their practical application.
