Our client is seeking a payroll specialist to join their payroll team based in Cork City on a 12 month contract basis. The successful candidate would be responsible for supporting the weekly payroll (c. 2,000 employees) across Ireland and the UK, where data is collated from multiple sources, and distributed to external payroll providers for processing to tight timelines. We are looking for a well organised Payroll professional who possesses an ability to work to tight deadlines while maintaining excellent attention to detail. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Payroll Operation
- Input and process a high volume of timesheets on a weekly basis from multiple sources.
- Liaise with external provider on queries as required
- Liaises with other members of Finance team on any payroll issues
- Maintain accurate and up to date weekly filing on all transactions
- Managing Payroll inbox
Type of person
- 3-5 years' experience working with ROI and/or UK payroll
- Experience working with high volume weekly payroll
- IPASS qualification desired but not essential
- Strong Excel and Google experience essential
- Strong systems knowledge and ability to adapt to new and changing packages
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Process driven
- Excellent administration skills
- Strong interpersonal skills is a must
- Proven capability to work within a team environment as well as possessing the ability to work independently.
