A leading Irish engineering company is seeking a Mechanical Estimator to support high-value mechanical projects. You'll be responsible for preparing detailed estimates, managing tenders, and providing accurate cost analysis to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and competitively.

What You'll Do:

• Prepare and collate tenders based on project scope, plans, and specifications.

• Quantify materials, plant, and labour requirements.

• Analyse subcontractor quotations, identify inclusions/exclusions, and negotiate pricing.

• Prepare cost reports, procurement schedules, and tender presentations.

• Support the handover of estimates to the project team.

• Review work practices periodically to identify cost-saving opportunities.

Who We're Looking For:

• Relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.

• 2-5+ years' experience as a Mechanical Estimator on M&E projects.

• Experience in Ireland or the UK is advantageous.

• Strong knowledge of piping measures, isometrics, and P&IDs.

• Excellent communication, time management, and Excel skills.

• Experience with FileMake Pro is a plus.
