Maintenance Technician

The client is a leading pork processing company based in Cork. We are seeking a

skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our Engineering Team. The

successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation, reliability, and

efficiency of our production and packaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and reactive maintenance on all production and packaging equipment.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults tominimise downtime.

• Support ongoing process and equipment improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.

• Work closely with production teams to ensure all equipment operates safely and effectively.

• Participate in maintenance planning, spare parts management, and maintenance documentation.

• Adhere to all health, safety, and food safety standards on site.

Requirements

• Time-served trades qualification or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, or

Mechatronic Engineering.

• Experience in maintenance within a manufacturing or food processing environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot across multiple disciplines (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic).
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work on a rotating shift pattern.
• Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment and automated systems.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance systems and best practices
