A leading technology company is seeking a Qualified Accountant to join its EMEA General Ledger team on a 3-month contract basis. This role will support the month-end close process and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting across multiple EMEA entities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities for EMEA entities.
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate and timely general ledger accounting and reporting.
- Assist with intercompany accounting and reconciliations.
- Support statutory and external audit requirements.
- Review financial data, investigate variances, and resolve accounting issues.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and reporting requirements.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the GL function.
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent).
- 2+ years' post-qualification experience, preferably within a multinational environment.
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close processes.
- Experience working with multiple entities across EMEA is advantageous.
- Excellent reconciliation and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Available to start immediately or at short notice.
