Project Executive- Energy Research
We have an exciting opportunity in the Innovation and International Research (IIR) Team in the Research, Innovation, and Electricity Department.
The Department, which also includes teams in the areas of Electricity & Wind, Offshore Energy, and Funded Research, is focused on developing solutions to the challenge of decarbonising Ireland's energy system.
The successful candidate will report to the Programme Manager for Innovation and International Research and will join an enthusiastic team of analytical and technical experts who are committed to enhancing research and innovation activities, as well as connecting Irish researchers, companies and policymakers with international research funding and collaboration opportunities.
Essential Requirements
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:
- A degree (a minimum of NFQ Level 7 or greater) in a relevant discipline such as Engineering, Science, Economics, or energy related area.
- A minimum of 3 years' directly relevant experience working in an energy related area or in research programme administration/management.
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team and managing projects involving a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
- A strong understanding of energy technologies and national and European energy policy priorities.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills, including report writing, presenting, and public speaking.
- Well-developed IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
Desirable Requirements
- Post-graduate or PhD level qualification.
- Experience in the management of funded research projects and in participating in multi-disciplinary teams or consortia.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting technical analysis and evaluation of energy technologies and systems.
- Experience facilitating and delivering information sharing, capacity building, knowledge transfer events and/or workshops to advance research and innovation impact.
- Experience or knowledge of delivering positive customer experiences.
