Data Architect

My client is looking for a Data Architect with a minimum of 5 + years experience to join their organisation based in Cork. This is a permanent role.

Responsibilities:

• Scope, design, and lead the delivery of enterprise-grade data solutions aligned with client needs and industry best practice.
• Develop robust technical specifications, data models, and architecture designs that support scalability, security, and long-term growth.
• Lead and mentor data analysts and engineers, ensuring alignment to architectural standards and project objectives.
• Partner closely with senior stakeholders, building strong relationships and advising on data strategy, architecture, and delivery approaches.
• Oversee end-to-end data project lifecycles, from requirements gathering to implementation across diverse industry sectors.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate data solutions within broader technology and transformation programmes.

Skills & Experience:

• A third-level qualification in Maths, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience leading teams and delivering complex data projects in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders through clear, expert guidance.
• Solid understanding of project management methods, tools, and delivery disciplines.
• Commercial experience in data management, architecture, or related technical domains.
• Advantageous experience with enterprise-grade data platforms such as Cloudera CDP, Databricks, or cloud-native environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
