    Role: Morgan McKinley has partnered with a pharmaceuticals organisation in Cork, the role of Content Strategist is to define and lead the overall content strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, customer needs, and digital engagement goals.

    Responsibilities:

    Strategic Planning

    • Develop a comprehensive content strategy that supports organizational objectives and customer engagement.
    • Create governance models, editorial calendars, and workflows for content production and approval.
    • Evolve digital content strategy; identify content gaps and opportunities based on market research, customer journeys, and competitive analysis.

    Stakeholder Engagement

    • Collaborate with internal teams to align content priorities.
    • Facilitate content meetings to ensure cross-functional alignment and timely delivery.
    • Act as the primary liaison between key stakeholders and content execution teams.

    Content Architecture & Framework

    • Define taxonomy, metadata standards, and tagging systems for content discoverability.
    • Ensure content is structured for scalability and reuse across platforms.

    Oversee Performance & Optimization

    • Partner with analytics and SEO specialist + enterprise team to monitor content performance.
    • Use data-driven insights to refine strategy and improve engagement metrics.
    • Establish KPIs for content effectiveness and ROI.

    Compliance & Governance

    • Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines, regulatory requirements, and accessibility standards.
    • Maintain version control and audit trails for content assets.

    Innovation & Trends

    • Stay updated on digital content trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
    • Recommend new formats (interactive content, video, infographics) to enhance engagement.

    KPIs & Success Metrics:

    • Strategy Delivery: Completion of documented content strategy within agreed timelines.
    • Engagement Metrics: Increase in page views, time-on-page, and conversion rates.
    • Content Efficiency: Reduction in duplicative content and improved reuse across channels.
