BIM / Revit Specialist (Civil/Structural)
Location: Macroom, Co. Cork
We are working with a Macroom-based consulting engineering company delivering high-quality civil and structural engineering services across industrial, commercial, and residential sectors. Due to a significant upcoming project in the local area, they are seeking a motivated BIM / Revit Specialist to join the team.
The Role
You will support the design and delivery of a major industrial facility project in the Macroom area, focusing on BIM coordination and Revit-based modelling. This role offers the opportunity to work on a technically complex development within a highly regulated environment, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and experienced engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage detailed 3D BIM models for civil and structural elements using Revit
- Produce high-quality drawings, models, and project documentation in line with BIM standards
- Coordinate models with architects, MEP teams, and external stakeholders to ensure clash-free design
- Maintain and update BIM standards, protocols, and workflows across the project
- Support design teams with model-based analysis, quantity take-offs, and visualisations
- Participate in BIM coordination meetings and contribute to project delivery strategies
- Ensure all BIM deliverables comply with relevant standards, including ISO 19650 where applicable
About the Project
The successful candidate will contribute to a large-scale expansion of a leading international manufacturing facility in the region. Due to client confidentiality, full project details will be disclosed at interview stage.
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline
- 3+ years' experience in a BIM/Revit role within civil or structural engineering consultancy
- Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit (experience with Navisworks, Civil 3D, or similar is advantageous)
- Good understanding of BIM processes, standards, and collaborative workflows
- Experience working on infrastructure or industrial projects is desirable
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple project deliverables
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
