    Reporting to: Financial Accountant & Managing Director
    Location: On-site (Full-time)
    Working Hours: 08:00 - 17:00
    Salary: €35,000 - €40,000 (Subject to experience)

    Overview

    A well-established and expanding private company is seeking a dependable Accounts Assistant to join their head office team. This position has been created to support a growing finance function and offers a stable, long-term opportunity within a professional yet relaxed office environment.

    Working as part of a small, collaborative team, you will provide essential support to the senior management team, ensuring the smooth daily operation of the finance department. Access to a car and a valid, clean drivers license is required as the office is not in commutable via public transport.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Reconciliations: Oversee daily bank reconciliations and ensure internal records align with statements.

    • Ledger Support: Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, including the issuance of monthly statements.

    • Payroll Assistance: Provide support for payroll processing (prior experience is beneficial but not required).

    • General Finance: Assist with month-end procedures and provide ad-hoc administrative support to the finance lead.

    Candidate Profile

    This role is specifically tailored for a Qualified by Experience (QBE) professional. It is ideal for an individual who takes pride in delivering high-quality work within a consistent, stable framework and who is not currently seeking professional accounting qualifications (ACCA/CPA or equivalent).

    The Ideal Candidate:

    • Solid experience in a general accounts or bookkeeping capacity.
    • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to routine tasks.
    • A collaborative mindset, comfortable working in a close-knit office of approximately 5-6 people.
    • Professional communication skills and a reliable work ethic.
    • Previous Experience with Payroll is advantageous but not essential.
    • A full valid clean Irish driving license is required as the office is not available to reach with Public Transport
