An established and growing business is seeking a full-time Accounts Assistant to join its finance team based in Cork. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone who is part-qualified or planning to begin/continue professional accounting exams and is looking to build a rewarding career within a structured, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Generate and issue invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
Process and allocate customer payments
Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies and customer queries
Maintain accurate accounts receivable files and financial records
Follow established procedures for cash handling and receipts
Support month-end closing and reporting activities
Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience in a similar accounts or finance support role preferred
Strong proficiency in Excel; knowledge of Kerridge or similar ERP systems an advantage
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Positive attitude and a desire to learn and develop within the finance function
