    About the job

    Our client is a well-established accounting practice based in Cork, providing a comprehensive range of accounting and tax services to clients locally, nationally, and internationally.
    They are now seeking an experienced Accountant to join their growing team. This is an exciting role offering broad exposure across all areas of the practice, along with the opportunity to contribute to the continued growth and development of the business. Part-time hours can be accommodated for the right candidate.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage a portfolio of clients across various sectors.

    • Plan, manage, and execute accounting assignments.

    • Prepare and review monthly and quarterly management accounts.

    • Prepare budgets, forecasts, cashflow projections and other ad-hoc financial reports for clients as required.

    • Complete statutory year-end audit-exempt accounts to review standard.

    • Prepare and finalise statutory accounts packs for client approval.

    • Prepare and complete corporate tax computations and CT1 filings for Revenue.

    • Prepare annual B1 returns for submission to the CRO.

    • Prepare directors' personal income tax returns for Revenue filing.

    • Support clients with general tax matters including VAT, CGT, CAT and other compliance queries.

    • Assist the Partner on non-routine tax assignments.

    • Work independently and complete files to review standard.

    • Prepare and file income tax, corporation tax, VAT and other statutory returns.

    • Undertake company secretarial duties as required.

    Skills & Experience

    • Minimum of 2 years' experience in an accounting role within a small or medium practice, and at least part-qualified.

    • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.

    • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage workloads, prioritise tasks, and consistently meet deadlines to a high standard.

    • Able to prepare files for Partner review and work on your own initiative.

    • Proficiency with Word, Excel, Bright Accounts Production, payroll software, cloud-based bookkeeping systems, and ROS.
