Accountant - Practice

Morgan McKinley are delighted to be partnering with a Cork based Accounting Practice in the recruitment of a Qualified Accountant to join their growing team. In this position you will be responsible for a wide range of SME clients focusing on audit, tax and accouants preparation. Please note this position is 100% on site.

What You'll Be Responsible For:

• Prepare financial statements, management accounts, and tax returns for a varied client portfolio.

• Support audit engagements from start to finish.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to trainee accountants and junior team members.

• Build and maintain strong client relationships by offering clear, expert advice and responding to queries.

• Leading and conducting audits across a broad client base, in line with auditing standards and best practices

• Preparing corporate and personal tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws

• Investigating issues identified during engagements and proposing effective solutions

• Managing assignments to ensure completion within agreed budgets and deadlines

• Developing and maintaining strong, professional relationships with a diverse portfolio of clients

• Delivering high-quality work in a timely, efficient, and professional manner

• What We're Looking For:

• 3-5 years of experience in a public accounting firm or general accounting practice

• ACA or ACCA qualification (or in progress)

• Strong technical knowledge of current accounting and auditing standards

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present clearly and confidently

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

• Meticulous attention to detail, a high level of integrity, and a commitment to confidentiality
