A leading multinational manufacturing organisation is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join its finance team in Shannon. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role across financial accounting, reporting, controls and commercial finance, supporting both the Irish entity and wider international operations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities.
Manage General Ledger, journals, accruals, prepayments, payroll and intercompany accounting.
Prepare financial statements, management reporting and balance sheet reconciliations.
Analyse financial results and investigate variances.
Support VAT, statutory reporting, audits and tax requirements.
Support SOX, internal controls and financial compliance.
Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and FP&A activities.
Partner with manufacturing, operations, supply chain and commercial teams on profitability and cash flow.
Support inventory accounting, standard costing, variance analysis and capex reviews.
Assist with treasury and cash management activities.
Support process improvement and automation initiatives.
Requirements
8+ years' finance/accounting experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
Fully qualified accountant: ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent.
Strong knowledge of financial accounting, month-end close and financial controls.
Experience with manufacturing finance, inventory and product costing.
Working knowledge of ERP systems.
Strong Excel skills; Power BI experience advantageous.
Experience in a multinational environment and exposure to Ireland/EMEA statutory reporting preferred.
Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
Commercially minded, detail-oriented and comfortable working to tight deadlines.
