Our client, a well-established and globally recognised organisation within the manufacturing space, is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join their international finance team based in Shannon. This is a key role offering broad exposure across financial reporting and compliance within a dynamic, multi-jurisdictional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Review management accounts
- Lead month-end close processes, including consolidated management accounts and supporting schedules
- Manage intercompany reconciliations and act as key liaison with global finance teams
- Take ownership of audit processes (group and entity level), working closely with internal and external auditors
- Prepare audit files and support corporation tax computations
- Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements including sales tax, payroll and corporate taxes
- Support preparation and submission of indirect tax returns
- Oversee Accounts Receivable function, including credit control, cash application and bad debt review
- Maintain AR master data and ensure strong collaboration with regional sales teams
- Review revenue accounting and perform monthly revenue-to-forecast analysis
- Manage FX rate reporting and related financial adjustments
- Drive process improvements and contribute to finance-related projects
Candidate Profile
- Fully qualified accountant
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of Irish and US GAAP
- Experience with financial systems (ERP experience advantageous)
- Advanced Excel skills and strong overall IT proficiency
- Proven experience in group reporting and consolidations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in process improvement and project work is desirable
