We are seeking an experienced and proactive EHS Manager to lead and manage all aspects of environmental, health, and safety performance across our Ennis site. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with Irish and EU legislation, develop and implement robust EHS programmes, and foster a strong culture of safety and environmental stewardship across the organisation.
Operational Delivery & Compliance
Ensure site compliance with all relevant Irish and EU EHS legislation, regulations, and standards.
Lead and coordinate risk assessments, safety inspections, internal audits, and EHS reporting.
Manage incident investigation and follow‑up corrective/preventive action processes.
Maintain accurate EHS records, metrics, and performance data to support continuous improvement.
Develop and oversee environmental programmes, including waste management and regulatory reporting.
Policy, Systems & Strategy
Develop, review, and implement EHS policies, procedures, and safe systems of work.
Maintain and improve EHS management systems (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001) and ensure effective documentation control.
Monitor legislative changes and ensure timely updates to policies and programmes.
Training & Culture
Design and deliver relevant EHS training and awareness programmes for employees, contractors, and management.
Lead initiatives to build and sustain a positive safety culture, encouraging proactive hazard identification and risk mitigation.
Represent the company in EHS committee meetings and other cross‑functional forums.
Stakeholder & Contractor Management
Act as primary EHS point of contact for external agencies and regulatory bodies (e.g., HSA, EPA).
Engage with site leadership, operational teams, and contractors to ensure EHS requirements are understood and adhered to.
Provide technical guidance and support on process safety, hazardous work, and EHS risk controls.
Third‑level degree or similar qualification in Environmental Health & Safety, Science, Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience in a similar EHS Manager role, ideally within manufacturing or industrial operations.
