Morgan McKinley is delighted to partner with a prominent international health insurance provider currently seeking an experienced professional for a Compliance Officer position. This is a permanent hybrid role based in Ennis, Co. Clare (3 days office, 2 days remote).
The successful candidate will take on a key role in compliance, maintaining the regulatory framework and ensuring full operational alignment with both the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) and the Health Insurance Authority (HIA).
Primary Functions:
Regulatory Oversight & Governance: Monitor and implement compliance frameworks aligned with the Consumer Protection Code (CPC), Minimum Competency Code (MCC), Fitness & Probity standards, and the Individual Accountability Framework (IAF).
Monitoring, Auditing & HIA Alignment: Execute regular compliance reviews across sales, claims, and product marketing materials to ensure adherence to HIA regulations and internal policies.
Complaints Management & Advisory: Oversee customer complaint investigations in line with CPC requirements, using trend insights to drive continuous service improvement while offering actionable compliance advice to internal teams.
Operational Resilience & Reporting: Maintain business continuity and operational resilience plans for the Irish branch while preparing accurate regulatory returns, gap analyses, and compliance risk assessments.
Risk & Financial Crime Oversight: Assist in identifying organisational risks, investigating potential non-compliance or misconduct, and maintaining robust compliance documentation and KPIs.
What We Are Seeking:
Professional Background: 2+ years of compliance experience within the Irish financial services or health insurance sector.
Qualifications: An ICA Certificate/Advanced Certificate in Compliance or a CHC qualification is highly advantageous.
