Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Site Manager
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Site Manager to join a well-established manufacturing business in Co. Cavan.
This is an excellent opportunity for an EHS professional to take ownership of site-wide environmental, health and safety performance, ensuring compliance with legislative and corporate requirements while driving a proactive safety culture across the business.
Reporting directly to site management, you will be responsible for leading all environmental, health and safety activities on site. You will develop, implement and maintain EHS policies and management systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
You will work closely with senior leadership and operational teams to promote best practice, manage risk and embed a positive safety culture throughout the organisation.
Lead all site environmental, health and safety activities.
Develop, implement and maintain EHS policies and procedures in line with company standards and legislative requirements.
Ensure compliance with environmental and health & safety regulations.
Manage environmental, health and safety audits, inspections and compliance monitoring.
Conduct incident investigations, identify root causes and implement corrective and preventative actions.
Support senior management in developing and delivering site EHS objectives and improvement initiatives.
Identify hazards and implement effective risk reduction measures.
Develop and deliver EHS training programmes across the site.
Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure ongoing compliance.
Maintain and continuously improve management systems in line with recognised ISO standards.
Promote a positive safety culture through employee engagement and continuous improvement.
Degree in Health & Safety, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in an Environmental, Health & Safety management role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong knowledge of environmental and health & safety legislation.
Experience working within EPA compliance frameworks.
Experience managing EHS audits, inspections and incident investigations.
Knowledge of ISO management systems, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
