EHS Lead
Location: Co. Cavan

An established and growing manufacturing business is seeking an experienced EHS Lead to take ownership of Health, Safety and Environmental activities across its production facility in Co. Cavan.
This is a standalone position offering the opportunity to lead and continuously improve an established EHS function, working closely with senior leadership, operations, engineering and quality teams to drive a proactive safety culture and ensure compliance with regulatory and ISO standards.
The successful candidate will act as the site's EHS subject matter expert, while also providing oversight and support to a sister facility in the Netherlands.
Take ownership of the site's Health, Safety and Environmental function.
Maintain, review and continuously improve existing EHS management systems.
Ensure compliance with Irish health and safety legislation and environmental requirements.
Lead risk assessments, audits, inspections and incident investigations.
Drive corrective and preventative actions following incidents, near misses and audit findings.
Deliver and coordinate EHS training programmes across the site.
Maintain safety documentation including risk registers, procedures and safety statements.
Partner with Production, Engineering and Quality teams to embed best practice across operations.
Lead safety committees, safety walks and emergency preparedness activities.
Monitor and report on EHS KPIs, identifying trends and improvement opportunities.
Promote a positive safety culture through visible leadership and employee engagement.
Provide oversight and support to the company's Dutch operation as required.
Qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline.
Previous experience in an EHS, Health & Safety or Environmental role within a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation and industry best practice.
Experience conducting risk assessments and incident investigations.
Exposure to ISO 45001 and EHS management systems.
Confident communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
Self-motivated and comfortable operating in a standalone role.
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
