Currently recruiting for the position of Chief Financial Officer with a leading Irish Indigenous company

Currently recruiting for the position of Chief Financial Officer with a leading Irish Indigenous company based in Galway with a competitive salary and additional benefits on offer. This is a superb opportunity for someone to take responsibility for the day-to-day financial control of the Company and management of the finance and IT department.

The CFO is a critical role which will offer you huge exposure across the company working closely with the Group Managing Director of this household name in Ireland.

Duties

  • Implementing and maintaining systems to support effective financial management including budgetary control.
  • Managing and developing of key personnel who have potential to further develop and bring new ideas and systems to enhance existing operations related to finance and accounting and beyond.
  • Supporting strategic and operational planning, future proofing.
  • Producing, reviewing and monitoring monthly management accounts, budgets and analysis, and reviewing ways to enhance results further.
  • Preparing financial reports for the weekly & monthly management meetings
  • Manage year end and month end processes, put forward learnings from past month/year with a view to stronger results going forward in key areas.
  • Monthly Balance Sheet review and reconciliations.
  • Preparation of annual budgets.
  • Financial analysis to provide decision-making support for management
  • Providing relevant & timely financial information to allow strategic and tactical decision-making
  • Contributing to the general management of the company.

Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant.
  • 5+ years PQE experience ideally within an FMCG environment
  • People Management experience essential - ability to lead large teams.
  • Ability to plan and develop for succession into key manager roles.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to galvanise large teams and embed support for a centralised shed services model.
  • Ability to manage a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • In-depth understanding of best practice processes and continuous improvement.
  • Able to connect strategic business objectives to operational targets that are monitored through a robust set of KPIs and process standards.
