Or client, a global leader in the FMCG industry, is looking for a transport coordinator to join and support their expanding team in Dublin.
Our client based is seeking an experienced Domestic Transport Planner to join their team. The ideal candidate will strategically plan and manage the transport requirements to include general haulage and bulk haulage as well as administration and invoicing of same. The candidate will report to the Transport Coordination Manager, based in Dublin
Schedule and coordinate equipment and sub-contractors to undertake collections and deliveries to customers.
Arrange necessary documentation and releases etc.
Monitor timekeeping and performance of subcontractors
Domestic distribution planning, subcontractors
Customer service, liaise with clients regarding details, updates and any issues that may arise.
Recording of costs & passing of invoices
Comply with all laws and regulations (Tacho hrs, WTD, Customs legalities)
To ensure hauliers adhere to the plan, to site rules, to customer expectations and relevant regulations and meet the criteria set by the Compliance and Certification Manager
This role will Co-ordinate the execution of the schedule provided by the Transport Planning function effectively through the haulier network
Proficient in Microsoft office, word, excel and computer systems
Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A minimum of one year previous experience in a planner capacity
Logistics / Supply chain qualification preferred
Relevant, proven experience in Transport Management
Ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Hold a CPC in Road Transport qualification
