Job Description

Exciting opportunity for a strong Senior Payroll Specialist with a renowned multinational FMCG brand based in North Co. Dublin

You will work as part of the finance team taking ownership of the Payroll function in a standalone capacity. This is a great opportunity to join a rapidly growing company. We are looking for a passionate payroll professional, who can work independently, as well as part of a team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assuming responsibility for the payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing
  • Processing weekly and monthly Irish payroll
  • Liaising with external payroll providers on small international payrolls
  • Liaising with HR regarding registration of new starters and leavers
  • Processing bonus, pension, and benefits in kind
  • Maintenance of the company's TMS system, ensuring efficiency and accurate reporting system
  • Ensuring accurate and timely management of
  • Liaising with ROS
  • Managing employee payroll queries in an efficient and helpful manner
  • Responsible for annual payroll returns
  • Participate in implementing new TMS system
  • Ensuring process optimisation and implementing any suitable changes
  • Liaising with agencies regarding and subcontractors
  • Preparation of payroll related balance sheet reconciliations
  • Ensuring up to date knowledge of PAYE modernisation, relevant tax and payroll legislation changes etc
  • Ad hoc projects as required

Person Specification:

  • IPASS Qualification
  • Must have strong experience operating in a busy payroll environment
  • Strong Irish payroll experience is essential, EMEA, APAC or international payroll is advantageous
  • Ability to work to own initiative
  • Up to date knowledge on payroll legislation
  • Strong knowledge of PAYE, USC, PRSI, BIK, ROS,
  • Strong excel skill and payroll software skills
  • Working knowledge of TMS is advantageous
  • Strong communication skills, ability to forge strong relationships
